I had the privilege to work with Edith for more than 8 years, first as a volunteer at the WILPF office in Geneva and then a staff member.

She was an exceptional human being who excelled as an activist, a professional, a teacher a homemaker and a friend to whoever regardless of age who came to see her. Certainly a rare combination.

WILPF and its work was her lifelong passion. I used to listen in awe to Edith talking on disarmament, human rights, social justice the work of the UN and NGOs.  These talks made me to come home and read/search about these subjects.

Thank you Edith for enriching me with so much of knowledge which changed my outlook on life.

I will always remember your welcoming smile, lovely chats and teas that we had together when I visited you.

So long my dear – I am lucky to have met you and worked with you.
