Farewell Edith, beloved great grandmother, peace activist, friend and someone who just knew how to appreciate living. What an incredible 102 years you had. You fought for justice and human rights but could just as easily talk  about why you preferred Nadal to Federer. You were always happy to chat about small things in life but saved your fierce energy for the important things. You were an incredible role model for so many and instilled principles in us that will be passed on generation to generation. Despite being that awe-inspiring sage that so many looked up to and sought advice from, I’ll miss the simple things the most: watching tennis, sipping wine, eating artichokes, hearing your belly rumble, your tartare sauce, scratching my back, making you laugh, hanging out in your apartment listening to the birds chirp. We’ll miss you so much. ❤️✌️
