Edith was an inspiration and a guide especially for the young WILPFer I was when I met her 19 years ago, and throughout the years, we would try to find time to meet so I can get a bit of her wisdom and care around a bottle of red wine, cheese, charcuterie and salad, in her cosy flat in Geneva.

She became WILPF’s roots, my roots in WILPF and in my activism, and the most caring guide. She was modest and always ready to help and contribute in any ways, I loved that about her, never led by her ego.

I will miss her, and I will miss that she is here, Edith was always here, around the corner, it was reassuring and comforting. I will miss that deeply.
